Protecting Our Kids
Every day, our children are exposed to harmful material on the internet and social media. As a mother and grandmother, Marsha is deeply concerned about the effect social media has on our young people. That’s why she fought for the bipartisan Kids Online Safety Act to ensure parents are empowered to protect their kids online.
Marsha believes that we need state policies to provide Tennessee parents with the tools they need to put the well-being of their children first and require independent audits by experts to ensure that social media platforms are taking meaningful steps to address risks to kids. She’ll always stand up for Tennessee’s children and protect them from Big Tech elites who see them as a product.
When it comes to protecting our children from the most heinous criminals, Marsha won’t back down from supporting the harshest penalties. Marsha was supportive of Tennessee legislation that stated that convicted child rapists should absolutely be eligible for the death penalty.
