Good evening! I’m Marsha Blackburn from the Great State of Tennessee!
Last week I had the honor of Chairing the Republican Platform Committee. We produced a different kind of platform—one dedicated to the forgotten men and women of America. People like Brad Bordeau, a small businessman from White Bluff, Tennessee.
Brad leads Bordeau Metals. By the end of the Obama-Biden administration, high taxes, massive government spending, and over-regulation almost put Brad out of business. But things changed when we elected Donald Trump!
Thanks to President Trump’s tax and regulation cuts, Brad and those who worked for him prospered. He hired new workers and expanded the business. Life was good and getting better. But Bidenomics was a four-letter word for Bordeau Metals. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s high inflation, high interest rates, high taxes, and green new scam are destroying small businesses.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, outsourced our energy supply, driving electricity prices up over 29%.
The day Joe Biden and Kamala Harris walked into office gas was $2.40 a gallon on average. Today it’s $3.54.
Our platform says we will make America energy dominant!

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris also think small business owners should pay their fair share—that’s leftwing code for more taxes! In Tennessee, I led the fight to end our state’s income tax. And when Donald Trump was president, I helped him spread economic prosperity with the largest tax cut in American history. President Donald Trump will make those tax cuts permanent. But if Joe Biden or Kamala Harris are re-elected, they will expire. It will be the largest tax increase in America’s history.

Joe and Kamala also hired 85,000 new IRS agents to harass hard working Americans. There has been a 300% surge in IRS penalties, mostly against gig workers and freelancers—not big corporations.

Under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, people are also crushed by more regulations than any time since Jimmy Carter. Their regulations aren’t just burdensome either—they often include racist DEI requirements. Many small businesses are now going bankrupt—while others are just disgusted.
Our party’s platform pledges seven times to cut regulations that are killing our jobs and costing you thousands of dollars.

Harmful Biden-Harris policies are why small business owners like Shana Grey, a black woman who owns Gray Jett Cafe right here in Milwaukee, is switching from voting for Biden in 2020 to President Trump in 2024. Our platform is a promise to the American people like Shana. And President Trump will keep his promises, just like he did the first time.
