BRENTWOOD, TN— The Tennessee Police Benevolent Association (TNPBA) today endorsed Marsha Blackburn for Governor.
Speaking about the endorsement, TNPBA President Gene Sasscer said: “Marsha Blackburn has never wavered in her support for the men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect Tennessee families. She understands that when you stand with law enforcement, you stand with the safety of every Tennessean. At a time when some politicians want to weaken the men and women who protect our communities, Marsha Blackburn will always have the backs of our officers. We need a governor who will be unwavering in defending law enforcement, backing the badge, and keeping Tennessee safe. That governor is Marsha Blackburn.”
“Our heroic law enforcement officers need strong advocates at every level of government who will make certain they have the training, resources, and support necessary to keep our communities safe,” Marsha Blackburn said. “While Democrats push to defund the police and dismantle our criminal justice system, I’m running to stand for the brave men and women who protect us– and always will. I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Tennessee Police Benevolent Association.”
Earlier this year, she was endorsed by other law enforcement groups, including the Tennessee Fraternal Order of Police, Tennessee Professional Fire Fighters Association, and the Shelby County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association.
