Brentwood, TN – Tennessee Fraternal Order of Police today endorsed Marsha Blackburn for governor.
In the endorsement letter, the Tennessee FOP wrote: “Following this thorough evaluation, and with the participation and support of our local lodges across the state, the Tennessee Fraternal Order of Police is proud to endorse Senator Marsha Blackburn for Governor of Tennessee.
“This endorsement reflects Senator Blackburn’s longstanding support for law enforcement, and her demonstrated commitment to the men and women who serve our communities. Throughout her career, and during this endorsement process, she has consistently engaged with the Tennessee Fraternal Order of Police in a meaningful and productive manner and has expressed her commitment to maintaining that relationship with our organization as Governor. We look forward to continuing that relationship as we work together to strengthen public safety and support Tennessee’s law enforcement officers.”
Accepting the endorsement, Marsha Blackburn said: “I’m honored to earn the endorsement of the Fraternal Order of Police. One of the top issues I hear from Tennesseans is public safety, and it’s our police officers who put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe. As governor, I’ll always back the blue and continue to support the men and women in law enforcement with the resources, respect, and support they need to make the Volunteer State the safest state in the nation. I’m grateful to have their trust, and I ask you to get out and vote early tomorrow!”
The Fraternal Order of Police is Marsha Blackburn’s third major endorsement this week, following the NRA on Monday and Honor our Veterans on Tuesday. Recently, Marsha has also been endorsed by the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Tennessee Professional Fire Fighters Association, and the Shelby County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association.
